Translation:

Chan Kee, a restaurant from Hong Kong, has finally opened in the Chinatown area! This establishment does not accept tips. The wait time can be quite long, and the servers only take orders when there are available seats. After ordering, customers are required to retrieve their own dishes.

Name: Chan Kee 陈记

Average price per person: Around $14

Location: 931 W Duarte Rd, Monrovia CA 91016

The interior decor is distinctive, with background music and menus that exude a strong Chinese atmosphere, creating a pleasant ambiance. One highly recommended dish is the Chicken Rice Combo, which is not only delicious but also reasonably priced.

🌟 Recommended dishes: Seafood Porridge + Mixed Sauce Rice Noodle Rolls + Yuan Yang Milk Tea

This combo is more than enough for two people. I find all the dishes enjoyable, particularly the seafood porridge, which contains fish slices and shrimp. You'll need to serve yourself with condiments such as scallions and ginger. The piping hot Yuan Yang Milk Tea is also delightful, served in a large cup with a dash of sugar.

🌟 Recommended dish: Tomato Gravy Salisbury Pork Chop Rice + Coffee

This dish is different from the tomato stir-fried pork chop rice I have had elsewhere. Although it has a slightly sweet taste, it is still delicious. The sizable cup of coffee that comes with it is also very affordable.

All in all, Chan Kee is an excellent teahouse that offers good value for money. The best part is, they do not accept tips. One important note is that the restaurant closes relatively early, so it is advisable to Google the hours of operation before arriving.
